Bottom line up front.  Prices vary across the Résumé writing industry.  To list a dozen prices, for a variety of services would be unfair to you – the customer.  You have an occupational background, level of experience, and list of qualifications specific to you, as does every individual.  These factors determine the actual cost of a professional Résumé presentation.  While one résumé may take just a few hours, another may take a few days to prepare.  My service is one-on-one oriented, and my goal is to make your needs my priority until you are satisfied.

If you are looking for a quick fix, there are numerous Résumé services which list a broad range of prices.  In some cases, you need to be aware that the information you provide is fielded to an unknown writer for completion.  Not at this site.  You will always be able to contact me personally to discuss your résumé progress.

The answer to this depends on type of presentation, the availability of information, and the complexity involved in accurately portraying you on paper!  In the best case scenario, 2-5 business days.  As a rule, and depending upon volume, it is realistic to expect a 5-7 business day turn around. I am a sole proprietor and provide a specialized service to my clients.  Consideration of your special needs will also dictate project completion.  As a consumer myself, I understand the need for immediate gratification.  However, a “work of art”  isn’t always produced overnight!  Your project begins upon receipt of all of the required information, and of course, your payment.

Well, you can start by checking out the Professional Association of Résumé Writers - PARW website at parw.com .  PARW Members uphold a strict Code of Ethics .   

Since PARW set the original industry standard for Résumé Writing in 1990, there have been other organizations established.  You may identify other Résumé Writers that hold a variety of credentials.  If you are concerned about the validity of a provider’s credentials, you can check with the certifying organization to verify authenticity.

The first clue would be that you are not getting responses from prospective employers.  I like to tell my clients that Résumé presentations change just like your wardrobe or your home décor.  What may have worked a few years ago does not generate the same response in today’s labor market.  As technology changes, so does the labor market and the opportunities that can be incorporated into Résumé presentation!

YES! Think about it like this.  When you first meet someone, the first thing you do is introduce yourself.  You don’t just toss out your life history without a forward introduction.  Why would you do that with your Résumé?

In addition, the cover letter tells employers valuable information; such as how you heard about them, the position you are seeking, and if you have researched their company, among other things about yourself.
